Flexible coupling from 5mm to 8mm 3D printer

The easiest way to transmit power from a motor to a shaft is by using a coupling. There will always be alignment problems between the motor shaft and the shaft to be driven, so it is not recommended to use rigid couplings for the joint. It is for this that flexible couplings are used that allow to solve the problem of alignment defects.

This coupling is made of machined aluminum, it has a helical groove and hexagonal screws for its adjustment with the axles. They are widely used in CNC systems, 3D printers, conveyor belts.

Axles with a diameter of 5mm are very common in Nema 23 stepper motors. 8mm diameter axles are the standard in power screws in 3D printers and CNC machines.
