Description
The AD8232 module allows you to record the electrical activity of the heart, that is, to obtain an electrocardiogram or ECG. Electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) is a non-invasive diagnostic test that evaluates rhythm and cardiac function through a record of the electrical activity of the heart The heart beats because electrical signals are transmitted through specific pathways within the heart, giving place at heartbeat. This electrical activity can be collected through electrodes placed on the skin, specifically on the front of the chest, on the arms and legs.
The AD8232 is an integrated with signal boosters and specially calibrated noise filters for ECG signals. The module suppresses 60Hz noise generated by domestic electricity. The output of the module is of analog type, it is only necessary to weld the pins and connect the module to a microcontroller like Arduino. Within the program we must carry out the analog to digital conversion and thus we can observe the ECG on the Arduino plotter.
