Description
This powerful flash-based 8-bit CMOS microcontroller incorporates the powerful microchip PIC architecture in a 40-pin package and is compatible with the PIC16C5X, PIC12CXXX and PIC16C7X models. The PIC16F877A has 256 bytes of EEPROM data memory, automatic programming, an ICD, 2 comparators, 8 channels of 10-bit analog to digital converter (A/D), 2 capture / comparing / PWM functions, the Synchronous serial port can be configured as a 3-wire peripheral serial interface (SPI) or the 2-wire Inter-Integrated Circuit (I²C) and a universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (USART). All of these features make it ideal for advanced A/D applications in automotive, industrial, appliance and consumer applications.
