74156 Demultiplexer 1 to 4

74LS156 The SN74LS156N is a 2 to 4 dual decoder/demultiplexer with open collector outlets. When both sections are enabled by strobe lights, the common binary address inputs select sequentially and route the input data associated with the appropriate output of each section. Individual strobe lights allow you to activate or inhibit each of the 4-bit sections as desired. The data applied to input 1C is reversed in its outputs and the data applied to 2C\ is not reversed through their outputs. The inverter following data input 1c allows use as a 3 to 8-line decoder or 1 to 8-line demultiplexer without external opening. Input clamping diodes are provided on all of these circuits to minimize transmission line effects and simplify system design.
