Shield Driver Driver for Motor (Dual H-Bridge- Turn Inverter) L293D

SHIELD L293D, is practically an H bridge that allows the interconnection of 4 DC motors or 2 stepper motors and additionally 2 servomotors. It works with the Arduino development card and gives the possibility to power the engines independently.

This Shield has 2 L293D controllers and a 74HC595 displacement register that expands 3 pins from the Arduino to 8 pins to control the direction of the motor drivers, that is to say that to control the 4 motors only 3 are used Arduino pins.

• Input voltage for motors: 4.5V to 36V
• It incorporates 2 L293D integrated circuits providing 4 full H bridges
• Protection against over heat load
• Reverse voltage protection diodes generated by inductive loads
• 4 channels (M1, M2, M3 and M4) to control the same number of inductive loads such as DC motors, solenoids, relay, or 2 single-pole or bipolar stepper motors between 4.5V and 25V.
• In the case of motors it is possible to control both its speed and its direction of rotation
• DC motor speed control with 8-bit resolution
• Control of stepper motors with 1 and 2 coils in single mode, double (higher torque), interleaved (half step) and micro steps.
• 2 independent connectors to control 2 small 5V servos (digital pins 9 and 10).
• Maximum continuous current in each of the outputs M1, M2, M3 and M4: 600 mA.
• Maximum non-repetitive peak current in each of the outputs M1, M2, M3 and M4: 1.2 A
• Pull-Down resistors keeping engines disabled during ignition
• Requires external source for loading of loads at outputs M1, M2, M3 and M4. You can use the external source connected to the Arduino board or the Shield with selection using the "PWR" jumper
• Reset button for Arduino board.
• Compatible with ARD development cards
