Inductive proximity sensor (ferrous metals) JL12A3-4Z/BK

    Description

The LJ12A3-4-Z/BX (NPN) inductive proximity sensor allows you to detect metallic objects in a range of 4mm. Easy integration with digital systems like Arduino, PICS or PLCs. It is only necessary to connect the sensor output to a digital input from the microcontroller. The output of this sensor is of the normally open NPN type, so that when an object is detected, the output will be GND and in a VCC sleep state. It can be powered with 5V and work directly with Arduino. If you want to extend the detection range, it is recommended to power with 12V or 24V and use an optocoupler for connection with Arduino.

Inductive proximity sensors serve to detect the presence or absence of metallic objects. When the sensor detects a metallic object, its electrical output changes state (ON/OFF), similar to a switch. As it is a non-contact sensor, its durability is widespread compared to other types of sensors such as switches or mechanical switches.
