Description
The DHT11 is a low-cost, easy-to-use digital temperature and relative humidity sensor. It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air, and displays the data by means of a digital signal on the data pin (it does not have analog output). It is quite simple to use in both hardware and software. The only drawback of this sensor is that you can only get new data once every 2 seconds.
The DHT11 sensor is characterized by having the digital signal calibrated, ensuring high stability and reliability over time. The sensor integrates a temperature resistive sensors (thermistor) and another for humidity. It can measure humidity in a range from 20% to 90% and temperature in the range from 0ºC to 50ºC.
Each DHT11 sensor is strictly calibrated in the laboratory, presenting extreme precision in calibration. The calibration coefficients are stored as programs in the OTP memory, which are used by the sensor internal signal detection process.
