Description
The DigiSpark is a microcontroller development board based on the Attiny85 chip similar to the Arduino line, just cheaper, smaller and slightly less powerful. With a whole series of Shields to expand its functionality and the ability to use the familiar IDE of Arduino. The DigiSpark is a great way to start in electronics, or perfect for when an Arduino is too big.
It is a development board compatible with DigiSpark, similar in design to Arduino, only cheaper and much smaller. Internally it has 8Ks of memory (although the bootloader needs 2 of those kilobytes), and of the six input/output pins, in addition to digital I/O, three can be used as PWM and 4 as ADC.
The pins are:
- 5V – Power input to 5V.
- GND – Earth.
- VIN – Power input between 7V and 12V (the board has a type regulator 7805)
