Description
The LM7809 voltage regulator is regulator that provides a positive 9V voltage as output, with internal current limitation, thermal shutdown and safe operation area protection. If a suitable heat sink is provided, they can deliver more than 1A of output current. The LM7809 is useful to have a constant output of +9V for sensor and/or microcontroller power supply, such as adjustable output regulator, current limiter, dual regulated supply or output polarity reversing protection circuit.
