QTR - 8RC Digital Line Sensor Arrangement of 8 sensors, are arranged in series to reduce current consumption in half, and a MOSFET allows you to regulate this as a great energy saving option. Each sensor separately provides a digital I/O that can be measured by means of a PIC, Arduino or Raspberry Pi microcontroller.

The QTR-8RC Reflection Sensor Arrangement is intended as a line sensor, but can be used to identify proximity or as a reflectance sensor. The module has eight infrared emitters and 8 receivers (phototransistor). Each transistor photo uses a capacitive discharge circuit that allows you to generate a digital I/O for a microcontroller, to make an analog reading of the IR, is reflected by measuring the capacitor discharge time.
