Description
The 4N35 is a 1-channel 6-pin phototransistor output optocoupler with base connection. The optocoupler consists of an infrared gallium arsenide LED and a silicon NPN phototransistor.
An opto-coupled optoisolator or optically coupled isolator is an optically coupled optoisolator, which functions as a switch activated by light emitted by an LED diode that saturates an opto-electronic component, usually in the form of a phototransistor or phototriac. In this way, they are combined into a single semiconductor device, an emitting photo and a receiving photo whose connection between the two is optical. These elements are within an encapsulation that is usually of the DIP type. They are often used to electrically isolate very sensitive devices.
