Description
The 4N33 is an optically coupled insulator with a galium arsenide infrared LED and a silicon fotodarlington sensor. Change can be achieved by maintaining a high degree of insulation between the conduction and load circuits. This can be used to replace mercury and cane relays with the advantages of long life, high switching speed and removal of magnetic fields.
An opto-coupled optoisolator or optically coupled isolator is an optically coupled optoisolator, which functions as a switch activated by light emitted by an LED diode that saturates an opto-electronic component, usually in the form of a phototransistor or phototriac. In this way, they are combined into a single semiconductor device, an emitting photo and a receiving photo whose connection between the two is optical.
